Quest Research Ltd Acquired by First Advantage Corporation

Quest Research — Asia 's leading background screening company has been acquired by First Advantage Corporation (NASDAQ: FADV). In a press release issued at its headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA on 2 May 2005 First Advantage, a leading United States-based risk mitigation and business solutions provider, announced that it has acquired Quest Research Ltd.

First Advantage Corporation is currently one of the top three background screening companies in the USA. It is a majority-owned subsidiary of The First American Corporation (NYSE: FAF), a Fortune 500 company that traces its history back to 1889. First American is the USA 's largest data provider, supplying businesses and consumers with information resources in connection with the major economic events of people's lives.

This strategic acquisition of Quest Research bolsters First Advantage's international employment screening operations and will allow it to to cater for the needs of multinational corporations demands for these services more effectively.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Quest Research currently provides comprehensive screening program mes for more than 200 companies with a presence in India and East Asia, including multinational corporations in the financial services, technology and business process outsourcing (BPO) industries. Quest also provides international services for other employment screening firms in the United States and Europe.

Its main back office operation is located in Mumbai. Over 300 staff work there. Quest's other offices in India include New Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai. Internationally, there are offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore and Perth, Australia.

First Advantage anticipates that it will continue to operate in all of Quest Research's present locations. A dditional investment will be made to expand the infrastructure and scope of its newly acquired international employment screening operations.

Quest Research will now be renamed First Advantage Quest Research.
